Word of the Week: SELF-CONTROL "When the woman saw that the fruit of the
tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for
gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband,
who was with her, and he ate it," (Genesis 3:6). The definition for
self-control is control or restraint of oneself or one's actions, feelings,
etc. Self-control is in every part of
our life. Sometimes we have to control our eating especially if we are
diabetic. Other times we may have to have self-control when it comes to doing
something were not supposed to or something that is illegal. Self-control is
something that everyone struggles with on a daily basis. I struggle with it
sometimes when my dad asks me or tells me to do something like clean my room
or do the dishes. I don't like doing these things, but I must remember to
control myself, and my emotions and just do what he asks me to do. By: Kaela

Tutoring (after school
Homework help) ACS will be offering tutoring to students who
are in need of a little extra help. The tutoring will take place in the
language room after school from 3:30 to 4:30 on Monday through Friday. The
cost will be $5 per session. The teacher who will be tutoring the students is
Ms. Thomas. This is a great
opportunity for those who need a little extra support to catch up and even
excel. If more than six students are in attendance, we will get a second
tutor to help out! |
|

us. |

ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS This year’s first big fundraiser is underway. The books have been sent home. This year's book has some good additions that will help you to sell them. Start letting your family and co-workers know about their chance to purchase one of these very valuable books. If you sell three books, you get one free! Our goal is to sell two books per student. As with all fundraisers at ACS you are not required to participate. |
